2 elephants in punathur kotta went on rampage yday, and tried to kill their mahots..
One i remember seeing when i went there, named madhavankutty. He was in chains for the last 8 months cos 
of "madapadu", was unchained yday...
of "madapadu", was unchained yday...toture is an understatement ...
64 elephants live there..now they are building sheds for each elephant, they say that will take care of their issues..
Its our sadistic attitude and not our beliefs that make us do it...
Gods need not be paraded on elephants...Then why the poor creature has to be tortured..
Question remains, what did these poor animals do to deserve this
If circuses cannot have elephants, how can temples be allowed to torture them ????
